I recently opened up at a Day spa in Murrieta California. I’m needing assistance on developing a business plan in order to apply for a small business loan and to find the best place to apply for this business loan.

Nolo Press puts out excellent publications. I haven't read their How to Write a Business Plan, but it's just been updated for 2019 and yes, Murrieta Public Library has a copy!

Start with the Business Planning Tool at https://www.sba.gov/tools/business-plan/1 to gather your thoughts and basic information.
Then, contact your local SBA resource partners at the VBOC, SBDC, SCORE or WBC for assistance: https://www.sba.gov/local-assistance/find/?address=92591&pageNumber=1
They offer free assistance and have the tools you need to develop your plan.

Hi Angela,
Like Jodie noted, SBA can be a good resource. Also check out your local Small Business Development (SBDC) Office. They are typically located at community college campuses. They can provide support for start-ups. One last resource to consider is to see if there is an incubator in your area. While many focus on tech, there are those that focus on general businesses.
Good luck!

I have seen many veterans in Washignton and Oregon use the SBA as a resource and had much success with their consulting arm. The Link above is to their business plan template. Look around the site. They were immensely helpful in helping one of my friends who has some brain damage from the war, in getting a good loan rate, business plan, and access to grants they never considered.
