I'm refining my career aspirations and beginning to widen my network and am seeking mentors to help me refine my career goals as well as prepare myself for transition.

With the industries you mention (Aerospace /Defense & Technology/Biotech) a PMP cert may carry a lot of weight. They aren't too expensive or time consuming, and maybe a school/training center convenient for you will accept the GI Bill.
Best of luck!

Thank you everyone for reaching out. I'm just getting back from some training and getting back into the swing of things. My undergrad was in Criminal Justice / Statistics. I'm currently working on my MBA and completed an Advanced Project Management Certification through my graduate program.
I'm mostly interested in Aerospace / Defense or technology/biotech. Although, I'm not relegating myself to any one industry since I'll be starting from scratch anyways. I'm mostly interested in finding something that is engaging and I find interesting to work around.
Hi Erik,
Francis alludes to Project Management being quite diverse.
What industries are you hoping to work in (construction, aerospace, medical, software, etc.)?
Thanks, Paul

Francis,
As for education, I have an advanced project management certification from a graduate program and I’m currently working on my MBA, which I’ll finish after this semester. I did complete a Continuous Process Improvement course in the Marines as well.
I absolutely do not have actual civilian experience in the matter, however I’m hoping to start building my depth on the topic.
Thanks,
Erik
You did not mention your education: Successful careers in Project Management require knowledge in the areas of engineering; construction; scheduling; prime contractor and sub contractor management; purchasing; negotiations; contracts administration; contract law, etc.
