The article The 5 Characteristics of an Effective Business Metric from Inc.makes the point about trying metrics to see how they work/relate is a good idea and something I'm wanting to do...just not sure where/how to start with generating some ideas on what to even consider for measuring my team's effectiveness in these three areas.

Often it takes some trial and error to find metrics that are as ideal as possible, but the effort required will pay off in the long run.’

Although, your question could be potentially answered from various viewpoints, I wanted to provide you with some insight from a recent Business Insider article I discovered - based on a study from Google, measuring what makes an effective team...What did they find? After analyzing their most effective teams, they found that the teams that stood toward the "top of the pack," were ones that had a core foundation of "trust," a sense of "psychological safety" in their work environment.
This may not be a conclusive answer to your question, but it could pose a start - what makes your particular team feel that they are in an environment of "psychological safety," so much so that they are willing to take risks, spread their ideas and foster innovation - as a team...Hope this provides you with just a little bit more insight on your question.
