I have applied to many jobs, but haven't gotten any bites. I have a master's degree in Digital Media Arts and Engineering (game development and game art) from LSU and I have a portfolio of my work.
I need advice on how to get noticed and if there are any issues with my portfolio that I am not aware of.
Thank you

Leah, thank you for your service. Just a thought - would you consider the teaching profession? Many high schools in particular need people in their STEM (or STEAM - A for art) programs. Kids are learning many of the skills you already have. Because you have your degree, you could substitute teach and maybe get an inside track when permanent positions come up.
Sgt Haight,
First, thank you for your service.
I would like to share with you the name of someone who may be helpful outside of a public forum (will have to clear it with him first). You can contact me at riskman001@gmail.com.
Thank you, Sally!
I will send it to you later today.
Leah
I'd be happy to look over your c.v. Be aware that online applications are very specifically searching your input into the system they recruit through. You must use the exact key phrases, buzz words, software titles they are putting in the "job posting", or you will not be making it through the first draft of review. Therefore, if someone asks for Adobe Portfolio specifically, and you don't have that skill, you will benefit from adding "Adobe Portfolio learning in process presently" so the words do come up in the search criteria of that recruiter. Then get the training for yourself, of course.
Are you on SquareSpace or any other site with your portfolio viewable? That is helpful, too. You can call the company and ask the recruiters what portfolio sites they prefer, in order to be found easily there. Its really worth it to make it easier for recruiters, so if you email them have a link directly to your portfolio online, and your various social media accounts.
email me at my name S****bbaughman@aol.com fill in the stars. I don't want to post my full email here. :-)
