I am registered with USAJobs and some other security clearance job sites. I just registered with Govevents in effort to begin networking at job fairs. I have seen some contract positions on bases in the DMV area. I would rather purse a federal than contract position. Would you advise to take a contract position in order to get into a federal one? Thank you for your willingness to help.
Chris
Hi Chris,
While there are many contractor sites for DHS jobs, here is a DHS link to which you can connect directly and do a search: https://www.dhs.gov/homeland-security-careers.
Good Luck.

Hi Chris-
Thanks for your service!
I would love to help you with your job search. Do you have a preference for becoming Federal Government employee with DHS or taking a Government contractor position in private industry with firms currently supporting DHS?
If looking for Government positions, I assume you have registered on USAJobs and have started looking for open positions? If so then send me your resume and job announcement and I can give you tips on how to submit your application.
If looking for contractor positions, then send me a private message and I can make several recommendations for companies in the DC area that do this type of work.
Thanks again-
Deb
