Jamell,
What do you like doing? Your military background and education will open doors, but your interest will be evident to anyone interviewing you. Also, Business Analyst could be just about anything from Project Manager to nothing but spreadsheets all day, so you're going to have to go out and not only look for opportunities, but also figure out what you really want. Then you can focus your search and your resume.

I'd be glad to look at your resume and tell you if any particular positions come to mind.

Best regards,
Chris

If you aren't certain of exactly what industry or sector you want to focus in, don't think of that as a bad thing. Now is the time to explore a variety of options, and you would want to tailor your resume to each type of position, if you understand what I mean. I would be more than willing to review your sample resume, and I would encourage you to consider this an exciting time in your life, where you are able to chart your own destiny. Thanks for your service.

If you do not mind starting at or near the bottom, look for a job in Purchasing/Supply Chain. It is a good way to get into a company and the opportunities after gaining some experience in sourcing and negotiations etc. will open up.

Have you ever thought about the Internal Revenue Service? There are a lot of good jobs there which would benefit from someone with your experience. Just like the military,Veterans Preference, 30 days vacation, 5 years and 62 = ANOTHER Retirement Check. I did it, you can too! Or another Government Agency of course.
Industry? There are Franchises for Business Coaching, some of my associates have joined Business Brokerages, and Franchise Coaching, there are plenty of Business Coaches around...They would like someone like you too!
Good Luck,

check out www.score.org, you could "volunteer" your way into a career.

I've been in Chicago sales for over 20 years and now consult to help companies sell more, and one thing that helps is doing things different from the norm to separate yourself, like Steve did above...be open minded, what are you good at, would outside sales be possible or would you prefer an office every day? Once inside a company, and proven, you can transfer also, but try to find and target good, growing companies, not easy. Do you have any experience with technology/equip, or software, if so, maybe seek like companies and approach them. Go to web site, research their growth, and find out who their officers are, call 2-5 of them, yes, pick up the phone and ask for 2 minutes (or email them), explain your a vet seeking work, an MBA, and that you have researched their company (do that)...even leave them a voice mail and ask if they can guide you for an interview or if you can send them a resume, you never know, they may be a vet or a kid in services...be different, leverage yourself, aim high, you are marketable, and prepare for a fair amount of failure, don't take it personally, it's all part of the deal. Good luck, you'll be fine, have confidence, be positive.

It sounds hokey, but one that helped me determine my direction out of college was to put on a suit and walk the office buildings downtown. The goal is not to find a job, but to find out what people really do in their job.
I used the Chamber of Commerce directory from the library to set up a couple of appointments in advance, hours apart, and used the time in between to cold call on businesses I was interested in. I made clear that I was not looking for a job, but information about what they did there.
An offer to buy someone a cup of coffee in return for them telling you about their job worked wonders. It worked for me and a few people I suggested it to found it helpful.
