I am an ACP mentor alumni and own a small professional services consulting business which supports the US public sector. My firm focuses on providing services in the areas of leadership and team development, building resiliency in organizations, improving internal and external communication and decision making, and training and human-centered design in high-risk and safety critical environments. I also have specific international expertise in Lebanon and generally in the Levant.
I just came back from Lebanon and was encouraged to see a lot of positive activity in the country, although the situation is still fraught with political risk. Three areas of potential opportunity in the short term include: 1) continued support for Syrian refugees (Lebanon has the highest per capita refugee population in the world), 2) early preparation activities underway to prepare Lebanon’s infrastructure for the reconstruction of Syria (e.g. Enhancements to the Northern Port in Tripoli), and 3) initial exploration of enormous oil and gas resources discovered off the cost of Lebanon within its Economic Exclusion Zone.
Any one of these above listed opportunities would be a great opportunity, all three in a small country presents tremendous opportunity. If any veterans or advisors have any insights into needs that their organizations may have in Lebanon associated with these opportunities, please let me know.

While there is extensive Ku band TV reception there, there is a lack of high speed internet....especially in rural area....take a look at the Bekaa Valley for fiber connects....as for oil and gas....I would say they are in the also ran status....Israel and Greece/Cyprus is going to be the big players there for the next fifty years.
