Federal Jobs in Japan

Veteran

Rhiannon Sacks

I am a GM2 about to separate honorably in 2 months. My station is in Yokosuka, Japan and I would like to stay out here. Does anyone have any advice on how to get a federal job out here? USA jobs isn't really helping. Thank you.

Are you looking for a construction job?
Gilbane Building Company has a presence in Japan and are always looking for people.

It could be how you are searching in USAJOBS. If you have at least three years active duty you are VEOA eligible. You could also be direct appointment into a VRA job up to a GS-11 position if selected as best applicant. By searching today on key word Japan there are 49 jobs posted for "US citizens", and 92 jobs posted for "Federal employees" with 31 being Dept. of the Navy jobs. Select the Federal employee button to get more search results in addition to those listed in the other response to your question. Don't forget about contractor jobs as well.

Look outside of USA jobs. www.donhr.navy.mil afciviliancareers.com commissaries.com dcaa.mil dcma.mil dfas.mil disa.mil dia.mil dsca.mil dss.mil dtic.mil nro.gov dodig.mil

Most of the intel agencies are under clearedjobs.net or clearjobs.com
Thanks for you service and good luck.
