I received my NOBE back 3 years ago and they didn't count my title 32 AGR time as active. With the law change outlined in the new VA benefits handbook I should be at 100%. Who do you call because my regional VA office does not know?

Robert - You should have gotten a DD 214 for your Title 32 AGR time. I recommend that you contact your State Education Officer (ESO). My ESO validated my Title 32 AGR time to adjust my eligibility rate. You can reach me at stevensjohna@gmail.com if you'd like.
Thanks for the answers guys, I just got word on my 2nd help desk ticket & they bumped it up to 100% after I attached the DD214's & VA comp & pen letter. They also transfered my file to the correct place. They're also sending me an updated letter. Thanks for all the help. Submitting a help desk ticket with my docs attached was deff the right way to go. Thanks again & happy holidays.
Robert, I do not have a point of contact name for any VA regional offices...here is another thought. with your disability rating have you checked on Vocational Rehab under chapter 31? This is a program separate from GI Bill. It also could offer other potential training / education benefits that will not affect your post-911 GI Bill benefits
Notice Of Basic Eligibility or NOBE. I spoke directly to the regional office GI Bill person and he told me that with the law change grandfathering AGR time nobody thought about making an adjustment document or form to fill out to request a recalculation. He had me log onto the main "Post 911" webpage and initiate a help-desk ticket. He said that he doesn't even have a point of contact in Buffalo who could handle my dilemma. I did 14 years AGR wearing the uniform every day with a couple of OIF tours and am now 100% disabled from Iraq looking to do something with my time like school. I was hoping someone on this forum might have a point of contact at the Buffalo office I could contact.
Mae sure you are contacting the correct regional office. The GI Bill/education offices are not the same as the VA medical offices. If you still reside in MA your regional GI Bill office is Eastern Region - Buffalo, NY P.O. Box 4616 Buffalo, NY 14240-4616. I could not find a phone number on the link. Contact the VA rep at the school you want to attend. They usually have the contacts for the regional offices. Also contact your state VSO if MA has one. I expect the school VA rep will be able to assist since this is in their lane to make sure the money flows to the school.
