I was told that Tuition Assistance will cover $250 per credit hour. The courses will exceed that amount at $297 per credit hour. It will not be worth it to use the GI Bill as it will also defeat its purpose. In addition, taking out more loans will not be an option as I already have enough to pay back. Any advice is much appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Jarred,
I am also a veteran and in the process of continuing my education for a MBA. My own research show that most Universitis have the Yellow Ribbon program which helps vets get their education completed when the VA rehab program and GI bill are depleted. Two universities that I am in contact with says they will cover the tuition if I have in the process of finishing by using the Yellow Ribbon program after my GI bill is gone.

Hello Jarred,
To put a little perspective on your situation, $297 per credit sounds like a very reasonable cost for a graduate program. Depending on the university master's degree tuition can be two or three times that much easily. Remember that the FTA of $250 per credit will max out at $4000 per fiscal year (Oct 1-Sep 30). You could consider alternating FTA and GIBILL throughout the year too - a savvy School Certifying Official or Military/Veteran advisor at your school should be able to draw up some of those options for you.
You can always ask about military-specific scholarships or discounts at the school and see if your home state has military/veteran education benefits. And of course, spend a little time looking for scholarships - this one http://www.vfw.org/Scholarship/ is open now for next Fall Semester.
I hope that helps. Feel free to message me directly if you have other questions.

My son is active in the Air Force. He has completed both his bachelors and masters on the GI Bill and has no debt. Not sure of your issue with using the GI Bill.
Many of my colleagues accomplished their post-graduate degree w/o additional out-of-pocket. I would check with your base education center; I bet that they have a lot of info on available programs.
