I've been trying for months to correct my DD-214 which does not indicate my foreign service during Desert Storm in 1991. I've written to the National Personnel Records Center in St Louis MO but they keep sending copies of my DD-214. I need the correction on my DD-214 and also requested my medical records with no success. I would appreciate any input and also would like to know if anyone else may have or heard of this problem.

I would contact the VA help center and request an appointment to talk with a VA advisor. They can be located at www.benefits.va.gov/gibill
Have you tried submitting Form DD 149, Application for Correction of a Military Record ?
Here's a link to the form that includes directions and addresses for each branch of the service.

If the link doesn't come through in this reply, visit archives.gov and search for veteran service records. The Archives provide the form as a courtesy; they don't correct the records, only store them. The form will have the address of the appropriate board to submit the corrections.
Hi Edward,
Have you called Total Force Service Center (TFSC) at (210) 565-5000 or (800) 525-0102 ? If so, what did they say?
Also, your Congressional Representative's office is a good source for straightening out SNAFUs. Setup a face-to-face meeting with a senior staff member of your local office. If they don't take immediate action, make an appointment to see the Congressional Representative directly.
