I am finishing my OSHA AAS degree in May of 2016. My previous job experience is that a direct hire employer does not want to hear the "safety" employees. Do you know of any OSHCON employers in the Texas/New Mexico area?

Sammy,
I have been working in the safety field for over 30 years. If I can offer any assistance, feel free to ask. I agree with the other posts that construction is always looking for qualified safety managers. I am glad to help another vet. Where did you get your AAS? I am an adjunct professor for the Eastern Iowa College Consortium in the Health, Safety, Environmental Technician degree program.
Sammy,
Most major construction companies are looking for Safety people who are trained in all aspects of safety, AECOM is just one, there's Turner, Bechtel, Gilbane ( we're doing a ton of work right now in Texas, the processing companies, Amgen, Exxon, Phillips 66, those jobs are out there and the need for trained safety personnel is growing.
I echo Scott's thank you for your service!!!
Well, if a direct hire company does not want to hear the "safety" employees, then I wouldn't want to work there. AECOM is always looking for hires. Do a job search on our website looking for "safety" or "health" as a key term. Try this, and fool around with the inputs to see what may fit your experience! http://aecom.jobs/jobs/?location=Texas&q=safety Good luck to you, and thank you for your service.
