I was previously in a Supply Trooper SUP SUP. However after being in the military, meeting many highly motivated, passionate people from around the world, I have learned though I am thoroughly trained with reliable understanding of logistics, its not completely about what all I know but more importantly who I know. I have always been told "If you don't know how to do something and you feel you've exhausted all options? simply ask, if you don't ask, you won't know right?" With that said, I am making it my commitment to use this site hoping that our wonderful verteran Vets or just Vets who have made that successful transition into great lives would have some insight or know how on some available opportunities. So my question is, Does anyone have any pull or ability to help me get back into the world of Logistics, wether under the gov. or civil world? Currently i attending school for Business Admin. with a focus on Logistics. Does anybody have any "REAL/attainable" advise or help?

I work in the logistics world but from a legal perspective. It is one of the fastest growing and most stable fields. There are tons of jobs out there. I agree with Alfreda about seeking transportation companies...call them freight forwarders or 3rd Party Logistic Providers (3PLs). Nothing prepares you more than the big giants of Fedex, UPS and DHL. You can gain a lot of quick experience and then be able to specialize.
Hi Aj!

Arturio, thank you so much for your awesome service! I too was a logistician. I agree with the above comments, adding recommendation to seek out the USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL to name a few of the big logistics companies. Also, please let me recommend a consideration for looking into some Marketing positions. Marketing closely mirrors logistics. Often marketing has the vision for the corporation, visualizing future with operations, often fully engaged in the logistics of the corporation's future. That said, throughout the years I have seen several logistics jobs posted on www.usajobs.gov if you are looking for federal specific jobs.
Consider adding transportation companies to your job search. Coordinating the movement of supplies, people, etc is at the heart of the transportation industry. You'll find tasks related to logistics associated with job titles like supply chain, and production planner.
