I am looking to translate my experience as a leader in Petroleum Supply (92F) to project management experience for PMP hours. Any 92F Leaders have success with this conversion?

Jamell...I understand your intent...I have that same goal of obtaining the PMP. Once I return to the US next month (PCS from Germany) and begin my transition. I will probably take a prep course from Vets2PM, www.vets2pm.com, as the graduating students seem to be having some success in getting accepted for the exam and then passing the exam.
Patrick...as an 88N (Transportation Coordinator) and 3112 (Logistician). I would be interested in discussing the plight you took in obtaining your PMP and how you garnered those 4500 hours. I will send you a message. Thanks.

Jamell - I'm not a 92F but as a logistics officer I have some exposure to the field. I would suggest you consider the requirements for a CAPM as a first step. Your experience may better align with those requirements (less than PMP). I'm happy to discuss more detail if you wish to message me.
