I have a great deal of talents to bring to bear at this company. With my education, experience and enthusiasm, I'm certain I will make a positive impact. I am desperately not trying to move as my family loves our home (1st home) and I owe quite a bit remaining.

I would start by looking at current job openings that are being advertised to see if you're qualified for the position. Having a connection is great, but there has to be a position for you.
Secondly, look for other opportunities through sites like indeed.com. Applying for a job and interviewing are learned skills. You may have a ton of potential, but your interview is critical.
Lastly, have realistic expectations. You may have to go where the jobs are. Not a popular idea, but isolating yourself to an area may significantly impact your opportunities.
Ping me if you need help, brother.

Hi Natoine, I see you are on LinkedIn. What you need to do is start looking at your connections - and adding them if necessary - until you find that connection to Itron. Once you have found that person, depending upon their connection you can ask for their help.
They may be in a position to introduce you to somebody in the company or to an employee. If that is the case, you ask the Itron employee just what you asked us - what does it take to get a job there. Don't push them to put in your resume, just ask them lots of questions and follow their advice.
If you find you know an Itron employee, then you might ask them to put your resume in front of the appropriate person.
