I'm currently working as unarmed security for universal protection service but they don't offer armed certification training. I'd rather not have to go school but instead receive certification from a company I might work for.

There are a number of nuclear plants in the area, all of which have armed security officers using state of the art technology (I can't say anything beyond that for obvious reasons).
They offer training with employment, as well as a good job with benefits and a chance for advancement. You get paid while you train.
