How to get direct contracting to improve Soldier Transition to Civilian Workforce?

Veteran

I just recently started my HR consulting business and I have a great idea how to help Soldiers who are transitioning out of the military build a better portfolio to succeed in the civilian workforce.
How can I sell this idea to the government (military transition center)?
What do I need to have with me when I go to pitch my idea?

Hello Amy, thank you for your advise. I understand what you mean by offering the proprietary rights to prime contractor that is already servicing in that area. I will work on finding the listing of prime contractor s that is already servicing in my specialization and make contact with them.

Thanks again.

Hi there! My thought would be to find a local transition counselor and ask to do some modified test runs in her/his groups. Have them complete surveys and track quantifiable success, then present as a curriculum to the local office who can champion it up the chain. Here is the link to contract with the gov... https://www.uscontractorregistration.com/local-contracts

That said, our government is one of the hardest "buyers" to sell to, preferring to instead create jobs by hiring folks to write and do their training internally. If it were me, I would offer the proprietary rights to one of the companies on this list that could brand it as their own and further stand out with the vets they are recruiting! http://militaryfriendly.com/
