About Sean
I was commissioned as an infantry officer via Kent State University’s Army ROTC program in 1997. I then spent four years on active duty mainly with the 1st Cav. Had a blast, but decided to get out (prior to September 11th 2001). My first real job was a manager for Northwest Airlines setting up and executing cargo aircraft operations out of the Cincinnati airport. Several months after starting this new job I quickly found myself unhappy and not knowing where I was going. I missed the military lifestyle and career support from peers and mentors.
9/11 was my career wake up. I thought about going back into the Army while I applied and several law enforcement agencies. The FBI offered me the chance to test for Special Agent and be on a fast track. After passing the first exam and knowing I had to wait about eight months for another exam and then selection into the FBI Academy I took a job offer from Northrop Grumman to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency and combat weapons of mass destruction (WMD). Northrop Grumman and the management team were great and fast. I spent the next 11 years contracted to support DoD’s efforts to combat WMD and loved it. In 2013 due to management and budget changes I transitioned to Camber Corporation to support business development and growth opportunities.
I have been managing programs and hiring people for most of my 18 years. For the last 14 years I have worked in the “Joint” DoD world in contract management and know and understand most military services (not just Army). Happy to help vets.
