About Kerry
Kerry is a retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel with branch qualifications in Civil Affairs and Combat Engineers. His expertise was in supporting host nation governments. He implemented education, economic development and infrastructure programs in Iraq, Jordan, Turkey, South Korea, Panama, Guatemala and Belize. His duties as a training officer for the 411th Engineer Brigade in New York included Drug Free Workplace. He then taught civilian transition courses for the 8th Medical Brigade focusing on healthy living, fitness and nutrition as well as retirement planning, Social Security benefits, job search, resumes, interview skills, financial retirement planning and debt management.
Kerry retired from IBM Corporation, Corporate Headquarters in Armonk, New York after 30 years. His career covered assignments in manufacturing, marketing, sales branch office, real estate, regional purchasing and corporate security. MacNeal earned a bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Dayton, an MBA from Iona College, Master’s Degree from the US Army Command and General Staff College and is licensed in Ayurvedic massage from Kathmandu University, Nepal. Kerry’s varied careers in big business, government and as a small business owner give him the practical experience to coach employees toward innovative solutions and balanced living.
He has been a national speaker for the Department of Defense, Cadre of Speakers Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program delivering lectures to Soldiers and family members throughout the US. He served as a diplomat in the US State Department as Senior Governance Adviser on a Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) to the Republic of Iraq 2008-2009 and is a graduate of the Foreign Services Institute, Washington DC, FACT course.
Kerry is the founder and president of New York English Language Proficiency Center, a vocational technical school, incorporated in Manila, Philippines in 2010. His school teaches courses leading to direct employment through Call Centers and Business Process Outsourcing. His school operates a free eLibrary at the municipal city hall, as a public-private partnership, to give Philippine schools access to textbooks for K-12, college and general teaching resources.
