About Shimon
I was born on the island and Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. At the age of 12, I was relocated to St. Croix United States Virgin Islands to live my mother and from there I attended high school at St. Dunstan's Episcopal HS with the famous Tim Duncan of the San Antonio Spurs. Fron there, I joined the US Army and served around the world from 1991 to 1999. Thereafter, I settled in Washington D.C./Maryland where I worked for the Maryland Department of Corrections for a small time. Soon after, I joined the Maryland Nationa Guard where I volunteered for Iraq and served with the 5th Special Forces group from Fort Campbell, KY.
After Iraq, I worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs Appellate Court in downtown Washington D.C. and attended Howard University for my bachelor's degree in Communications: Radio/Television/and Film. From there, I moved to Orange, CA in 2008, to attend Chapman University for my Master's Program in filmmaking. (While attending grad school, I had the opportunity to work with 'The Chuck Jones Family' on a documentary). Years, later I attended Saddleback College for my A.A. in Environmental Studies.
I recently graduated from the EBV UCLA program on July 19th 2016. http://ebv.vets.syr.edu/
