About Joan
My name is Joan Maney. I have spent 26 years in Human Resources. I have a bachelor's degree in Business and multiple HR related certifications (SPHR, SHRM-PHR, CEBS, etc.).
Both of my sons are in the military. My oldest is in the Air Guard. My youngest is in the Army. I have spoken to many veterans and found that the transition from military to civilian jobs can be a challenge.
I have coached veterans on how to rework their resume so that the skills they have learned in the military shine through as traits that civilian employers are looking to hire. I have also done mock interviews with them and given them feedback when requested.
I would be happy to help others with their transition back to the civilian workforce if needed.
Joan has volunteered to be available for private messages. Feel free to send a conversational message but remember to be succinct and mindful of the other person’s time.
