About James
I am a 22-year veteran of the US Marine Corps with tremendous experience leading teams to success in dynamic, austere environments with a reputation for demonstrating precision and skill with a technically complex system.
The past 22 years have prepared me for this with many diverse roles in planning, operations, logistics, and training. These roles provided me the opportunity to design and implement several diverse training events. All of this training was conducted in accordance with the Marine Corps regulations and resulted in 100% tank crew qualification in different locales across the country and overseas in a combat environment.
I have more recently been employed in a project management role where I have formed and lead cross-functional teams to successful completion within the Department of Defense acquisition framework. This position has also allowed me the opportunity to develop and deliver training on new equipment that has resulted in mission accomplishment and rave reviews from deployed Marines.
Additionally, I have significant experience with supply chain management. Be it tracking ordered parts through the demanding Marine Corps supply system to shipping men and materiel around the globe, I have successfully coordinated all logistical requirements to support tank companies of over 120 men proven on the training field and overseas in a more kinetic environment. In one such event, I simultaneously deployed tank platoons to Morocco, South Korea, and Iraq. I even volunteered to deploy with the latter.
My passion for training drove me to earn a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Occupational Training Development, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Louisville without losing focus on my primary duties. I am also Level 2 certified by the Department of Defense in the Program Management competency. I currently have an active secret clearance and I am eligible for top secret. I am willing to travel and relocate.
