About Brian
Brian is currently the WW Business Development Executive for the IBM Security Division leading the Global System Integrator program. As the Global Alliance leader, he is focused on driving revenue with the direct/channel teams and working with the SI’s to build Cloud/Saas models. He brings with him 18+ years in the software and security business as a sales leader with a strong security architecture foundation focused cross industry on large complex enterprise clients. Mr. Roosevelt has been a thought leader in the Data Governance community as a contributing author on Data Security to IBM's ‘Unified Process for Data Governance’ series including a recent 2013 publication on ‘Big Data Governance’. He's been a member of IBM’s Data Governance Council since its inception in 2005 as a leader in the Security, Risk and Privacy area. He brings with him nearly 10 years of experience within IBM spanning a security career that includes Data Security, Federated Identity, Access Management, Identity Management, PKI and SOA. Aside from his IBM experience, Brian was a pioneer in the XML Gateway market with Reactivity (acquired by Cisco) establishing its earliest customers in the SOA security market. Brian has an entrepreneurial and innovation approach to working with clients and partners on solving difficult business problems. As a frequent global business traveler, he likes to live and spend time in his coastal hometown of Marshfield, MA with his wife Elizabeth and two sons. He is a 1994 graduate of Merrimack College in North Andover, MA.
