About Sue
I started my career as a nurse. I worked in various settings including Critical Care, Oncology and Clinical Trial Research..
I always wanted to try sales. I am very outgoing and I felt I could be successful
It took over a year to find someone that would give me a chance as I had no experience in sales or business. I remember when I interviewed I told my future boss that I would be number one in a year. That dream came true!
I was hired by a staffing company that placed travel nurses. I was with the company for 5 years and was promoted multiple times and eventually became the VP. I had 90 employees that reported to me.
My company was sold and I took a position with a temporary physician staffing agency.
I started out as the manager of a small offsite office and in time became the VP with over 100 reports. I wore many hats and recruited candidates, worked with clients, trained new sales people in addition to managing the day to day operations.
I eventually left that position and decided to be self employed. I was very successful and worked from home for 10 years. I have since retired.
I had a great career. I learned a lot about business, management, sales and marketing.
I had the opportunity to train and mentor many employees. My medical background was a big plus but most people in this field do not have this background.
I felt honored to be able to provide the best health care professionals for a client’s need. I also worked with military bases in the US and overseas providing physicians.
I enjoyed the interaction with both clients and healthcare professionals and took pride in sending my best candidates.
I never felt like a sales person and I doubt my clients and candidates would think of me in that way. I was their consultant, looking out for the best opportunity/candidate for both.
