About Bruce
With a Bachelor's degree in economics, I received a commission at Navy OCS in 1962. I served on an LST out of San Diego for 3 years.
Most of my professional career has been spent in human resources, reading thousands of resumes, interviewing and hiring hundreds of people and firing a few as well. Several years were also spent in manufacturing and inside sales positions. Having achieved the position of Vice President, Human Resources of a division of a Fortune 500 company, we were purchased and my job was eliminated. I then worked 11 years as a career counselor for Drake Beam Morin, the world's largerst career consulting firm. We assisted people who were terminated, laid off or their job was eliminated. Providing help with resume construction, interviewing, self-assessment, cover letters, networking and other job search techniques. Such guidance to others I have found to be extremely rewarding.
Since retiring in 1998, my wife and I have volunteered at the Denver USO, located at the airport. I continue to assist friends and others, with their job search efforts.
