About Scott

Born and raised in Ohio. Commissioned as a Naval Flight Officer in 1993 through the NROTC program at Miami Unverstity (OH), Initial operational tour assigned to VP-4 in Hawaii, before selecting for the Law Education Program. After graduating from the University of Florida in 2002, inital JAG tour as a defense counsel and OIC in Jacksonville, FL, From 2005-2007 served as an admiralty attorney at the Navy's JAGC Corps headquarters in Washington, DC. Volunteered to deploy to Afghanistan in 2006 to assist in the establishment of the Afghan National Army military justice system. Subsquently assigned as the Staff Judge Advocate to the Carrier Strike Group responsible for certifying Carrier Strike Groups for deployment. From 2009 to 2011 served in the operations branch for the Navy's JAG Corps, primarily responsible for the Navy's Courthouse Security program. Currently assigned as the Staff Judge Advocate for Special Operations Command Central.
