About John
I am a proud Navy Veteran of 9 yrs 10 months. My final tour was at a training command, where I was given superior training in Instructor Basic Training School, and followed that with Curriculum Development School. I backed that up with a Bachelor of Science in Workforce Development from SIU.
As a Learning and Development enthusiast, I can say now that Training chose me, and my passion for it continues to fuel my career. My military background afforded me a unique and welcomed opportunity to discover how other people absorb and utilize training. In a nutshell, I learned the most from Training others. I enjoy that mutual growth and success to this day.
I have diversified my Subject Matter Expertise along the way (learning to accept every assignment with gusto while serving) and, as The Training Guy, I have directly supported several major business initiatives: Six Sigma, Lean Enterprise, Total Productive Maintenance, Competency-Based Training, Performance Management, Metrics and Scorecards, and Technology transfers to name a few.
