About Gunnar
I'm an international management and business development executive with 25+ years of hands-on experience working with companies ranging from startups to Fortune 20. Over my career, I've negotiated deals and managed projects in over 120 countries, working with 500 plus channel partners covering Asia, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Latin America. In this role, I've worked with a wide variety of industries, including justice, legislative, law enforcement, military, aerospace, satellite, telecom, broadcast & entertainment, computer networking, healthcare, corporate, education, and government.
In Africa, I've worked in 20 plus countries representing every region of the continent. I am currently a member of the International Rotary Club of South Africa and, in recent years, have been active on social entrepreneurial projects throughout Africa.
I'm a graduate from the Thunderbird School of Global Management with a concentration in Global Trade, Offset and Countertrade, as well as from Arizona State University’s MBA program, with a concentration on Supply Chain Management and Global Marketing.
In 2006, I was appointed by the US Secretary of Commerce as a member of the Arizona District Export Council (ADEC), where I presently serve as Vice-Chair and Chair of the Export Resource Committee. We work with Arizona businesses (SME's) to assist them in working successfully in international business operations. I am also a frequent speaker on international seminars and conferences. Originally from Seattle, Washington, I've lived and worked as an expatriate in a variety of locations in Asia, Latin America and Europe for a total of 8 years.
