About Shawn
Shawn Joyce co-founded and serves as President of Discovery Care Group, Inc., a life sciences company dedicated to bringing innovations in health to the global community.
Previous Experience
Prior to starting DCG, Shawn served for seven years as a U.S. Marine Corps officer with logistics units in the United States, aboard ship, and in Iraq and Kuwait. While in service, Shawn co-designed a software application that helped his 8,000 member unit manage their deployment operations more effectively which is still in use today.
Education
Shawn received his B.S. in computer science from Jacksonville University, served as Honor Court President at the Virginia Military Institute and graduated from the UCLA Entrepreneurship program.
Background
Shawn is a fourth-generation Marine who grew up in 6 states while his father served a full career in the USMC. Shawn's older brother, Tim, left service as a Marine Major and received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, where he was a Mahoney Fellow.
