About F. Angel
I began my service in 2000 as a Civil Affairs specialist. In 2008 I was approved for a direct commission but I delayed my promotion until my return from my first tour to Afghanistan. I was discharged as a 1st Lieutenant in October 2014 after three tours and nearly 14 years of service.
I loved my Army career. I served as a civil affairs specialist and as a civil affairs team leader. I enjoyed the camaraderie that we had in our unit, an Airborne CA battalion. I especially enjoyed my work as a Jumpmaster and Pathfinder in my unit.
I am currently in graduate school where I will be completing a Masters in Nonproliferation and Terrorism studies in May of 2015. I look forward to continuing the work of presenting the true America to the rest of the world through work in the Department of State or other similar role.
