About Christopher

I am currently living in Fairfax, VA with my My wife Maribelle and our two children; Christopher Marquise (14), and Cassidy Mercedes (7). My wife is Active Duty in the Air Force.

I enlisted in the Army National Guard in September 2000 as a Combat Engineer. After completion of Advanced Individual Training at Ft Leonard Wood, MO, I was assigned to the 181st Engineer Battalion, North Hampton, MA as an AVLB Operator (bridging tank).

Shortly after Sept 11th 2001, I was activated in support of the War on Terrorism; cross-trained and was transferred to Ft Hamilton, NY as a Military Police Officer. As an MP I was part of the NYPD Counter-terrorism task force and patrolled NYC Trains, Bridges and Tolls.

In Feb 2004 I enlisted into the Air Force Reserve as an Electrical Systems Apprentice, Chicopee, MA. In February of 2006 I was sent TDY to Aviano AB, Italy in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

In August 2006 I was selected for a Special Duty assignment as a Military Training Instructor (MTI / “Drill Sergeant”) on Active Duty at Lackland AFB, TX. As an MTI my responsibilities included conducting Basic Military Training for non-prior service airmen, including those of the Air National Guard, Air Reserve Forces, and initial military training for cadets of the United States Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) and Officer Training School (OTS). In November 2010, I was selected to be a Section Supervisor (“Senior Drill Instructor”) where I trained and mentored junior MTI’s and their basic trainee’s.

In February of 2012 I was accepted into a commissioning program for the U.S. Army Reserve. For the following 6 years I progressed up the officer ranks and respective positions. I am currently a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserve stationed in Riverdale, MD as a Civil Affairs Officer.

I'm currently working towards an MBA with a concentration in Information Systems and Services. I have a Bachelors Degree in Business Management, an Associates in Mechanical and Electrical Technology, and an Associates in the Instruction of Technology and Military Science.
