About Dwight
After graduating from Northern Nash High School in Rocky Mount,NC, I knew that my parents didn't have the money to pay for college so I immediately got a job and worked for 1 year. In September of 1994, I decided to join the United States Air Force. I entered the 4N01 (Medical Technician) MOS. I loved this job because I got to use the skills that I learned in Shepard AFB Tech School to help others in the hospital and out in the field. At the end of my 4 yr. commitment, I decided to honorably separate from the Air Force and use my GI Bill to further my education in the medical field. I attended Durham Technical School and completed their nursing program. After graduating, I immediately got a job at American Red Cross, where I worked as a phlebotomist for 10 years. I took a job offer from Biomat, USA, a plasmapheresis center in Raleigh,NC. I enjoyed the job as Medical Professional, where I screened and approve/disapprove people wanting to give plasma. Unfortunately, this center recently closed. So I have decided that with my education, leadership skills that I learned in the Air Force, and all my life experiences, that I am going to start my own business. I have decided to launch a tech company in Chapel Hill,NC. I have developed the first version of the mobile app and will officially launch in January 2015. This venture requires me to pay attention to detail to every aspect of the business, show resolve to obstacles that come with starting a small business and be dedicated to achieving the goal of building something that will help people. I learned all these skills in USAF and I would love to find other veterans that want to join me in starting this business. I look forward to using this service to meeting/helping other veterans and working with any advisors that will help me start my small business.
