Steve Romano, MA, is a consultant and instructor who works with both corporate and law enforcement clients in the specialty areas of hostage negotiations, international kidnappings and workplace violence. Prior to his retirement from the FBI after more than 31 years in law enforcement, Mr. Romano was the FBI’s Chief Negotiator. He rewrote the FBI’s National Crisis Negotiation Course and has published a number of related articles. Steve has been featured in several negotiation productions for Discovery, TLC and the History Channel and has appeared as a subject matter expert on CNN and MSNBC.
