About Jeff
I am a retired Staff Sergeant, 13F30 Forward Observor. I was injured in 1988 and permanently retired from the Army following surgery. I then went to Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN and achieved a BS Degree in Agriculture Science. Immediately following graduation I was hired by the USDA - Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). In nine years I rose from the grade of a GS-04 field position to a GS-13 Management Position. I worked 20 years for them, retiring again in 2012. My career allowed me the ultimate opportunities by permitting me to be "detailed" to U.S. Department of State and Department of the Army to serve as an adviser in Honduras three times and Afghanistan twice. I have served in the 101st Airborne twice, 25th Infantry, and 8th Infantry in Germany. I also fully understand the military/civilian connection. Many Veterans leave the military thinking, "now how do I go back to being a civilian". My advice - DON'T! You have valuable skills and leadership traits that are badly needed in the civilian work force in America today. Instead, learn how to be a Veteran in a civilian world. That is where I would like to help.
