About Robert

Higher education professional with 10+ years experience in military connected student services, recruitment/enrollment management, partnership development, relationship management and professional career development.

In my current role I head the area of Transfer Admissions for Manhattan College. I work with neighboring community colleges to ensure articulation agreements and joint programs are up-to-date so that students experience a seamless, streamlined transition when transferring. I place special focus on recruiting military connected students.

In my previous role I served as the Assistant Director of Student Veteran Services at The New School in NYC where I built communication and programmatic infrastructure. I led all military veteran initiatives while assisting military connected students with their holistic transition to the University. I also wore a GI BILL® educational benefit hat serving as a designated VA School Certifying Official in reporting enrollment to the Dept. of VA.

Prior to that I worked at American Corporate Partners (ACP), the owner of this very platform! In addition to supporting 90+ mentorships, I had the privilege of spearheading their Outreach Team working predominately with military bases/installations, other veteran service organizations and universities around the globe. I led a team working toward the goal of having as many service members, veterans and active-duty spouses take advantage of their free one-on-one tailored professional mentoring program with a hand-selected Mentor from one of their 95+ Fortune 500 partner companies. I also served as the Team Lead and primary Moderator for this very online platform, ACP AdvisorNet.

I began my career in higher education by having founded the Office of Military Veteran Services at Pace University in 2011 where I led all military veteran initiatives, events and programming assisting all military connected students with their holistic transition from combat to classroom to career. In January 2012 I also began my tenure serving as an Adjunct Professor instructing upper-level Psychology courses at Pace University.

I begun my professional career serving as the Psychometrician at Lincoln Hall, a youth adjudicated facility for juvenile delinquents. I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and am Board Certified. On a Pier Diem basis I have served as a Chemical Dependency Therapist at “The Turning Point,” a 55-bed inpatient drug and alcohol detoxification and rehabilitation unit in MidHudson Regional Hospital located in Poughkeepsie, NY, a member of Westchester Medical Center Health Hospitals.

Extreme foodie, on-and-off, mainly on again vegan and basketball enthusiast! Can catch me at the local park Sunday mornings giving people the business!!
