About ANDREW
I consider myself to be a unique young man striving to find what I'm destined to accomplish. I got started with the military bug when I joined the Marine Corps JROTC program in high school followed by Army ROTC in college. I learned a lot from those experiences but it was the Navy that called me. I joined the Navy after completing my BA degree in psychology. In 2008 I was deployed to Kuwait with a custom's battalion which was the highlight of my career. Upon return I had (2) strokes which ended my career at ten years (disappointing) but for the most part I didn't let it stop me - I completed my MA degree in counseling with a 3.50 GPA. Passions - easy! I love helping people...I live by the phrase "pay it forward!" I'm a certified Peer Support Specialist/Recovery Coach in the mental health field. Though the helping field is broad, my passion is really with our younger generation - my ultimate goal is start Serenity Springs Youth Haven. A ranch type facility where kids could use to get away from all the negatives in life (gangs, drugs, bullying, physical/emotional abuse) - a safe haven where they know that they're loved. My hobbies includes the outdoor life (camping, fishing, anything), photography, cooking, read/writing poetry, video gaming, various sporting activities (depending on my mood).
