About Kareem
During my 16 years of active duty service in the Air Force, I have tried to position myself for employment in the learning and development field. I recently became a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Even though I'm still active duty I'm currently working as a part-time ISD on a contract to build a Coursera course for Google. I've been an aircraft maintenance instructor teaching over 3,000 hours, I earned a certification in instructional systems development (ISD), Air Force Master Instructor designation, and an Air Force Professional Managers Certification. I also have varied experience as an aircraft maintenance technician and human resources for groups of 100 people as a section chief to 500 people as a 1st Sergeant.
Apart from my AF career, I've earned a Bachelor of Science in Workforce Education and Development, and a Masters of Arts in Education Technology. I have also started a chapter of a National Honor Society at George Washington University where I currently hold the position of secretary.
Ultimately, I want to be a Chief Talent Officer, lead a training department, or work as a training consultant for a medium or a large corporation. So for this goal, I'm trying to pursue a similar role for the Air Force while serving my last 4 years and looking out for the next development opportunity that would make me more attractive for employment.
