About Flossie
I believe that education affords opportunity. I don't mean just education in the sense of achieving degrees but educating in order to prevent ignorance and promote independence. I want to get into the field of advocacy and have my own consulting firm that will help find resources for low income families and to help them improve their lives. I have served in the United States Army for a little over 33 years and loved serving my country both abroad and at home. My most memorable experience was serving in Guantanamo Bay Cuba with displaced refugees and working as Coalition Personnel Office at US Central Command where i worked with over 48 coalition members. My passion is working with communities and especially youth organizations trying to better the lives of the less fortunate. I am currently pursuing my doctoral degree in Leadership and I have only my dissertation to complete. I am looking forward to one day securing a legal degree to add to the foundation of my education so that I can become a "change agent" for improving the lives of the downtrodden and advocating for the lives of those who are unable to do for themselves due to lack of finance or social stamina.
