About Mark

I have been in the construction materials (stone) industry for 20 years in a mid-sized private company in the mid-Atlantic. I have held various sales, operations and support positions. For 3 years I served as the VP of Human Resources for the company and was able to support the launch of our company mission, to Ignite Human Potential, which we continue to develop every day. Two years ago, I rejoined the business division I came from (Luck Stone Center) where we supply stone products for construction projects - primarily residential building with some commercial. I was assigned another business unit (Har Tru) that is the largest manufacturer of clay tennis courts in the U.S., selling primarily through install contractors. In order to focus our operations, we divested those 2 divisions and I have returned to supervise the HR functions in the company. I served in the U.S. Army for 8 years (1987-1995) upon graduating from Virginia Military Institute and served in the 8th Infantry Division (West Germany) and the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) as a MSC Officer. I completed my MBA through ERAU during night school in the Army which I believe helped speed my transition to the civilian business world. I am also a certified business and leadership coach through International Coaching Federation and enjoy helping leaders solve difficult problems, largely human related, that have multiple correct choices.
