About Larry

Hello everyone,
I was born and raised in Northern California. I am a combat vet from the Vietnam era. I served as a Navy Corpsman and was attached to the 1st Marine Division 1st Marines from Camp Pendleton, California. The photo shows me receiving a Purple Heart and Silver Star for helping wounded Marines caught in an ambush attack. I was seriously wounded myself. I returned to college and graduated from California State University Long Beach. I started my career in the Advertising Agency field in Los Angeles. I moved to New York City and became an Outplacement executive with a large International firm. I decided not to retire and instead launched my own Home Improvement company servicing customer in the Connecticut and New York area. Additionally, I earned various credentials to sharpen my skills as a Transition Coach to help people making life changing career transitions.

Every time I visit the VA hospital near me I am reminded of my strong interest to help veterans any way I can. This online forum is a brilliant idea and I plan to contribute as much as I can to help those making a transition back to civilian life. I've been through that and with my training as a career professional and transition coach, I feel especially qualified to offer meaningful support to anyone who requests it.

I offer my salute to all veterans for continuing to keep America safe and for taking advantage of this opportunity to get support.
