Mr. Williams, a decorated United States Marine, combat veteran, and survivor of three tours of duty in the War in Iraq is the Chief Executive Officer and Senior Management Consultant of Hashmark Strategies, LLC™ an emerging leader in developing and cultivating corporate leadership in Houston’s nonprofit sector. As CEO of Hashmark Strategies, LLC™ since 2011, his clients have included Mental Health America of Greater Houston (MHA), the City of Houston Mayors Office, and the Houston Police Academy; where he consulted on behalf of MHA and delivered leadership strategies on effective client and community engagement within the nations’ third-largest city.  Some of his previous projects include: the Houston/Harris County Veterans Behavioral Initiative, where he led multiple effective implementation strategies in multifaceted, multilevel government collaboration.

Before founding Hashmark Strategies, LLC™ he served as a The Director of the Veterans Behavioral Health Initiative at Mental Health America of Greater Houston, where he consulted the Houston Mayor’s office on implementing an appropriate leadership and community engagement strategy to deliver adequate service provision to over 100K returning Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans.  With Mr. Williams leadership, over 85% of the initiative recommendations were implemented with in the first eighteen-months.  Mr. Williams has served in a number of nonprofit sector leadership roles prior to his current capacity as CEO at Hashmark Strategies, LLC ™.  He was directly responsible for leading a regional outreach team in conducting an efficient national outreach strategy for the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP)® as an outreach liaison during WWP®’s “Operation Outreach” while concurrently serving in an elected position as the South-Central Regional Director for Student Veterans of America.  Mr. Williams was directly responsible for the growth and sustainability of a nine-state region of constituents; under his leadership, student-veteran affiliate chapters within his nine-state region of reasonability experienced a growth of 62% within the first year. 

As a Civil-Affairs Non-Commissioned officer in the United States Marine Corps, Mr. Williams was directly responsible for effectively leading and managing over $480k in personnel and operational assets while conducting civil-military operations during his recent tour of duty in support of direct combat operations in Operation Iraqi Freedom.  Mr. Jeremy R. Williams was permanently and honorably retired from the United States Marine Corps in January of 2007. Jeremy believes that as a leader, leaders put their people before themselves to accomplish the mission.  As a small unit leader and leadership expert, Jeremy Williams witnessed the abilities of men and women implementing and utilizing leadership strategies at every level.  Mr. Williams knows strategic leadership is the foundation of any effective business strategy and both can be developed to change any outcome for the better. 

Mr. Williams holds a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management from The Bush School of Government & Public Service at Texas A&M University, a Professional Certificate in Entrepreneurship & Small Business Management from the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Sam Houston State University.  His Accomplishments include being named a 2014 Bush School Scholarship Recipient, a 2008 National Military Scholar by the Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans, in addition to receiving Certificates of Achievement from President George W. Bush and the United States Olympic Committee.  His personal decorations include the Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal awarded by the Secretary of the Navy for his dedication to duty under fire, the Combat Action Ribbon, Presidential Unit Citation, and the Iraq Campaign Medal with three bronze campaign stars.  He is a Texas native where he lives with his two young sons, Vincent and Noah.
