Recently retired in order to devote time to a charitable endeavor that I started, the Victor E. Johnson OCS Uniform Award, under the Marine Corps Association Foundation sponsorship. The award serves to fund the cost of uniform, etc., purchase for the prior-enlisted candidate, married with dependents, who attains the highest leadership score while at OCS. Inaugural award granted on November 24.
Also on the advisory board of The Road Home, a program designed through Rush Medical Center in Chicago to assist veterans and their families.
