About Eric

Eric, citizen and world traveler of the globe, is an aspiring Sociologist, Professor, and Sports Commentator and graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles. He is looking to develop and sustain a fruitful career in higher education, community engagement, and social commentary with a focus on race, class, sports, and culture.

Eric is currently a Program Manager for the City Year Los Angeles, where he works with a diverse group of idealists who actively are combating the high school dropout rates. Pulling lessons from his own life, he seeks to encourage and inspire thought, discussion, and positive change surrounding issues most often supressed and ignored among society.

Following harrowing experiences while fighting in Iraq in 2005, Eric set out to understand classical quandaries that beset humanity. It was in Iraq that he noticed the importance and relevance of sports and music to all cultures. With an insatiable appetite to unite differing and various cultures and communities, Eric has devoted his life to promote goodwill, compassion, and understanding through sports.

Eric is creative at heart, and a servant in his soul. His interests and hobbies include sports commentary, community activism, reading, writing, holistic health, social activism/entrepreneurship, creative DIY projects, digital photography, travel, acting, music, independent film, outdoor/extreme sports and event planning.
