About Michael T.
After serving six years in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Teletype-Communication Center Man (2542), I explored the protective services and law enforcement fields, first as a volunteer NYPD Auxiliary Police Officer, and shortly after as a licensed Special Agent of 15 years.
In my present role as a Crime Prevention Specialist in a University setting, I experience my greatest sense of joy and satisfaction in impacting the lives of many young adult college students from day-to-day.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems organization and management, with a Human Resources Management concentration. The skill sets I learned during my 4-year matriculation has proven to be invaluable in my current profession. The foundation was laid in this course of studies that culminated in me successfully completing a rigorous Leadership Institute Program hosted by the Hampton Roads Criminal Justice Training Academy.
Helping others is in my blood, if I may be so bold to say. Reaching back to assist my fellow veterans just seems like the natural thing to do. I can only hope that I would make a positive impact in the life of my brothers and sisters of the U.S. Armed Forces. To that end I say, "Semper Fidelis!"
