About Samuel
Born and raised in South Korea, I immigrated to the U.S. when I was 14 years old. After I have resided and educated in the U.S. for approximately 6 years, I acquired the U.S. permanent residence status, which allowed me to join the U.S. Army, an opportunity to be a part of the team, fighting for the freedom of the citizens around the world by eliminating the terrorists; I joined the U.S. Army shortly after the 9-11 incidence. I then served the Army for approximately 8 years, including two tours in Iraq and another tour in Afghanistan. I have been initially working as a combat logistic specialist/a convoy commander's primary gunner. I then became the NCO in March 2005, taking in charge of millions of dollars worth of military goods and other supplies. In 2008, when I joined the 8th Army Yongsan Korea, I worked as the NCOIC of the computer network/system analysts in G4, 8th Army. Since I was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 2010, I joined NYU. I have also worked as a part-time Korean-English translator. I will graduate from NYU with major in Economics and minor in Mathematics and Philosophy. Since June 2014, I have initiated working as an individual investor through Ameritrade, primary because I wanted to apply my knowledge gained through the economics and mathematics courses I have taken during the past four years at NYU. I have extremely enjoyed working with the investment and research through Ameritrade and CNBC via Apple Platform, and thus hope to work for either a commercial or an investment bank as a financial analyst.
